The Dance

Saturday night was the church Valentine's Day dance.

For adults.

As in like, people who are totally grown up, like me.

I'm not going to lie, I was super fired up because let's be honest, I really am pretty much the best dancer I know.

Husband, on the other hand, is not.

A dancer, I mean.

But, there was two hours of of free child care and I'd been asked to take the kissing booth (!) pictures so I dragged him along with me.

As you can see, he was completely thrilled:

The good news is that he got to smooch-a-roo with his real sweetheart:

And, since we were geekily on time, Carolyn even got to groove to the pre-dance Whitney Houston tribute:

Husband willingly danced with me three times even though I had to ask each time.

It was a super good time but in the end, I was shamefully out danced by the former stake president and his wife (30 years my senior) who were doing the honest-to-goodness Hustle.

Really, how can you compete with that?

Thank you for taking pictures at the dance! I just love Nick's expression in the first one posted. :)
