Well Hello, Dolly!

I love hurricanes...not so much the eye of the hurricane, but there is nothing wrong with the residual effects. We are currently enjoying the outer bands of Hurricane Dolly here in Beaumont - 500 miles from the source.

The temperature has dropped 10 degrees, the rain beats down on the roof periodically, and, even though Husband reminds me every time it rains that driving through puddles is bad for my brakes, I do it anyway.

I've overheard several conversations wherein someone inevitably says, "It's so nice to get this rain! We sure need it!" I'm sorry, but the people that have lived here their entire lives have no idea what it is to "need" rain.

The best thing: the rain keeps some of the patients away and with the schedule we've been working for the last couple of weeks, it is a welcome respite.
