Egg Roll MASTER

Thanks to friend, Heather, Husband and I became egg roll masters this evening. Who knew you could have mounds and mounds of rolled deliciousness in just minutes?? If anyone wants to know where to find the actual egg roll wrappers, they are found by the tofu NOT in the international aisle. Look out Iron Chef, here we come!

I am so proud of you Erin! I was wondering all night how it went. I told you you could do it! Yea for you and husband! Aren't they amazing? Wow, just think of it. My prodigy, Erin, able to make a batch of egg rolls in less than 10 minutes. I'm delirious with joy at your success. So, what's next? Are you going to write a cookbook now? Which dipping sauce did you decide to use?

Tashika ni oishii! Sasuga ERIN!

We used the teriyaki sauce...Husband used mustard and hot sauce just to give it a shot. I'm trying to think of what's next. Last night Husband wanted to make some cream cheese wantons. Perhaps that will be our next endevor. However, we do have a giant bag of shrimp in the freezer so we might have to use those in something. Ideas on that, master cooking teacher??

So, are you cooking that when we come over Sunday?

:)

No...however, you can put in a request and I will have Husband cook it up! I'm sure he can think of a random recipe.

I was just kidding. We actually need to have you guys over to our house! We have a wii and everything now!

Well in that case, I wouldn't mind a steak scampi. If not that, I am craving some no-bake cookies or some Velveeta shells and cheese - SOOOOO YUMMY.

Steak Scampi? How do I make Steak Scampi?

But, I do make a mean in a box mac and cheese AND I do have a great no bake cookie recipe!

Steak scamp is steak with shrimp scampi on top. All you need is butter, garlic, and lemon juice! I crave it pretty much everyday now.

Steak Scampi sounds fabulous. We love the wontons with sweet and sour sauce. Nothing much better than a batch of those. Do you need a recipe? I have some great shrimp recipes, it just depends on if you want to stick with the whole asian theme or not. If you do, just get some sesame oil and cook those babies up, mix them with some soba noodles and toss some teriyaki sauce on top. Of course, you could always add veggies like Napa cabbage and carrots if you want to. Good luck sous chef Erin.

We may have to depart from the Asian. Although, a good bowl of ramen (not Americanized) would hit the spot right now...

For home made sauce, try this:

Vinegar
Honey
Soy Sauce

If you want to add other spices, try garlic and some red peppers.
