Kind of Like a Death in the Family...

My camera is acting up.

As in not working about 84% of the time.

All of my pictures that I can actually take are blurry and the rest of the time, it doesn't click at all.

Do cameras have motors in them?

Because if they do, mine's busted.

I'm having a hard time dealing with it - because I need $500 to replace it and I don't have $500.

That, plus the fact that I have a new baby who I think is about the most adorable thing on the planet and I want to snap billions of pictures of him laying there like a lump and....I....can't.

I'm in complete and total mourning over it.

That might be understating things.

What is your shutter count? Seth's last camera died when he got to the camera's max shutter count.

I don't even know what that is! How do I check??

Seth said that if it is still taking pictures at all its probably not the shutter..... But a typical camera has 100,000-150,000 shutter count lifespan. Google how to check it for your camera make/model.
