I DID IT!

I did it!

I totally ran 25 minutes straight this morning without stopping.

Of course, "run" is relative.

My secret is that I didn't start out like a bat out of hell.

No.

More like a turtle out of hell.

And when I got out of breath, I just slowed down a little bit.

Wait.

Is there such a thing as slowing down from already going slow?

The Piss-All-To-Do Man rode past me on his bike and yelled, "Lookin' good, there girlie, lookin' good!"

I wheezed, "Thank you!  Thank you!"

And tried to wipe the sweat out of my eyes.

Oh! I'm scared! I'm on week 4 right now... And I don't know if I can do what you did! I had to drop my speed (treadmill) from a 5.5 mph to a 4.5 mph for these longer runs. Otherwise I would get a cinch in my side...

YAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D
Who cares if you're fast?

It's the time you can spend doing it at first that counts.

Speed comes later.

YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

PS Running is THE best drug for stress, like, ever. :D

Darren and I ran about 4 miles last together last week.

Wait, I "ran" 4 miles, and he walked/ran.

He was always either beside me or in front of me going, "Wow...um, I can't call this running. In fact, I think it's time to walk a bit..." and there we were, side by side.

So no worries, I'm a member of the slow club too.
