Halle-Freakin'-Lujah

Husband is totally a college graduate.

Halle-Freakin'-Lujah.

This is how it went:

Husband is in this picture somewhere, I'm just sure of it.  I bawled throughout the entire 934 minutes of Pomp and Circumstance.  It gets me every time.

While I was standing there, crying, an entire family came and stood behind me and this was the conversation they had:

Hey!  Days Precious!  Day she be!
Yeah, you can tell by her effin' walk!
Well, I'll be goddammed!  She decorated her effin' hat!
Yeah, she sho did!  She decorated her effin' hat!
Did you see Precious?  She decorated her effin' hat!
Oh, yeah!  That effin' hat is decorated!

It was awesome.  Here's hoping that Precious, the college graduate, has a more advanced vocabulary than her entire family.

This is Carolyn.  Obviously.  Sometime early on in the ceremony, they asked all the children of the graduates to stand and be recognized.  So, I hoisted Carolyn in the air where she unceremoniously proceeded to puke all over her dress and my shirt.  Double awesome.

Lamar University believes in recognizing every, single, graduate. So, after the first 90 minutes of names, it was finally Husband's turn. You would think with all that time, I would have figured out which camera settings to use so the pictures wouldn't turn out blurry. Nope. Mostly because I was busy chasing Carolyn all over the concourse and protecting her from the large Vietnamese contingent that keep busting in and out of the doors, talking loudly, and gesturing to a giant red cooler they'd placed right by my legs.

I thought this was a picture of Husband shaking hands with the president of the university.  Except it's not.  I missed that moment because I was fooling with the camera.

This picture is less of Husband and more of the back of this guy's head - apparently all of the new college graduates were idiots because they had guys like this standing all over to direct traffic flow.  I am majorly irked at his appearance in all of my pictures.

This picture looks like Husband is giving me the thumbs-up but as it turns out, he didn't even know I was there.

This is when Husband saw me and right before the man-with-the-giant-head told him he couldn't stop for pictures right there.  Hurry!  Smile!  It's my favorite picture of the day.

And finally, this picture shows exactly how Husband felt about all of my picture taking.  Enough with the pictures!  I have to go!

I could not be more proud of Husband.

You should train her to barf on people's shoes. That would have showed that Vietnamese guy what's up.

Congrats to your whole family! Very exciting happenings!
