There's this great deal at Kroger.
Buy $25 worth of Similac/BeechNut/Pampers products, get $5 off.
This deal is made even sweeter by the $5 Similac coupons my visiting teacher dropped off yesterday.
She brought five of them.
That means you can basically get two boxes of formula for the price of one.
SCORE.
Of course, the boxes of formula are $21, which means you have to buy $4 worth of other eligible products to get the deal.
In my case, I went for the BeechNut baby food.
The whole deal expires next Monday, so I figured I had to get on it.
I may or may not have gotten a little bit out of control.
I ended up talking the cashier into letting me split my purchase into four different transactions so I could use my coupons and get the extra $5 off the $25.
I also had $16 left on a gift card I got five months ago.
With each box of formula, I had to buy eight bottles of baby food to make the $25.
This is what my food storage shelf looks like after off-loading everything:
Yes.
I'm now an independent BeechNut provider/crazy-amount-of-baby-food-haver.
Which is second in awesomeness only to being a Crazy Cat Lady.
Anyway, after adding everything up (along with one BeechNut coupon), we got four boxes of formula and twenty-four bottles of baby food for less than $48 (or $64 if you don't count the $16 on the gift card, which I totally do).
That's a savings of $52 (or $36 without the gift card) - it could have been closer to $55 had I been able to add the price of the baby food properly.
Oh, and we also had roughly $15 worth of coupons for other products.
Husband was just thrilled.
Or something.

I love this! I just bought 39 jars of Beech-Nut baby food and one box of cereal because I had 4 $1 off 10 Beech-Nut items (which I got by mailing in Beech-Nut labels from my first baby after all the Beech-Nut went on clearance. Look it up, they will send you free cereal AND baby food if you sign up for the email)
So, if you followed that, you are a genius.
The DVDs are done, but not as fabulous as I led you to believe because:
1) we had to lower the quality to get it to fit on one disc
2) the CD is not included because it wouldn't fit (but if you need a CD let me know because we have it all ready to go in iTunes)
3) both videos ended abruptly with random sports clips, I don't know what my brother did! But I think it's pretty much all there.
So as soon as I get my lazy bum to the post office I'll mail it to you along with some coupons (I'm keeping the $20 ones, is that bad?)
No hurry on the DVD! Getting out of the house and to the post office with two kids is hard!
And, there are $20 Similac coupons?? Really?? How on earth did you get signed up for those?? No, it's not bad you're keeping them. I would hoard those like nobody's business.
Oh, I don't know. Just sign up for every baby freebie you can. It seems like they sent me more valuable coupons now than they did with my first.
