This week, we had a delicious dinner - baked salmon and mushroom risotto. It's a good thing I didn't have any massages the day I made it - stirring risotto for 20 minutes is hard. However, if you're a mushroom lover, this risotto is definitely for you - even if the picture isn't so pretty.
Carolyn got into my Nutella bread breakfast yesterday morning. My hands were full with one piece of toast and a glass of milk. Carolyn had a handful before I could blink. After cleaning her up, I turned to Husband and said, "Man! I just want to eat without having to guard my food!" Husband replied, "Yeah, it's like eating in prison."
This is Carolyn enjoying her one and only Easter treat. You can also kind of see her bottom teeth (I've never been able to get a picture of them before...and forget getting a picture of the top teeth)! She thought this sucker was the best thing ever made. The M&S Petersen Fam had us over for Easter dinner. It was fabulous.
Carolyn was nine months old on Friday. She now has enough hair to put a bow in without having to use one of those little baby headbands, which she hates. I don't know why it's so important for me to have a bow in her hair. Probably because Husband compared her to Roberta from Swiss Family Robinson. The worst thing about her turning nine months old is that someone told me when she was born that it took me nine months to put on the baby weight, it's ok if it takes nine months to get it off. Um. Yeah. Well, nine months has now come and gone and the epic stomach fat round-up of 2010 continues. Despite my best exercise efforts over the last three months, I haven't lost a pound...or an inch, which is more important since none of my clothes fit.
Does anyone else think this printed on a package is hysterical? Frustration-Free packaging? Really? And guess who couldn't get the package open. Yup. Me.
But guess what the package was for?! This:
I saved up all my pennies (ok, so I saved Husband's pennies, but that's almost the same thing, right?!) and bought myself a Kindle. The other day I said, "You know what I heard is the best present for a Valentine's Day/Mother's Day? A Kindle." Could I be more witty?
And finally, look who's back! BOAZ! And Little Boaz!
