I'm Boycotting

1.  The Amazing Race is one of my very favorite shows on TV.  However, I'm going to have to be boycotting the rest of this season.  Mostly because my favorite team got totally ripped off and was eliminated this past Sunday evening.  As a result, I cannot, in good faith, root for any other team.  Oh, and just so we're clear, the dating goth team?  Yeah.  If I met Kent in person, I would kick him in the crotch for being such a whiner.

2.  After watching The Amazing Race every Sunday night, I, without fail, have an Amazing Race dream.  This past dream, we had gotten off the train at city hall in Sapporo, Japan, and instead of running for the clue like I should have, I just spun around in the snow with my hands reaching out yelling, "I LOVE JAPAN!  I LOVE JAPAN!"  Because of this, I was the last person to the clue box.

3.  That dream made me really, really miss Japan.  So much so that I started looking for a job in Japan.  And I found one that would be perfect for me.  Or rather, it would have been perfect for me when I was single.

4.  After four and a half years of living where I live, I finally got the gumption to put up some curtains in Carolyn's room.  Ok, so fine, I was just replacing the white-trash black sheet I'd tacked up over the window months and months ago.  The curtains I picked are pretty ugly, but they make the room dark and I can open and close them so my plants in that room will actually get some sunlight when Carolyn's not sleeping.

5.  The weather last night said there was a 20% chance of rain today.  When I woke up, the stroller I'd left outside was sopping wet....from RAIN.  Stupid weatherman.

6.  Since the stroller was wet and I couldn't take Carolyn on a walk with me, we played Dance Central on the Kinect.  Carolyn apparently wanted to play, too, because every time I started to dance, she would come over and hang on my legs until I picked her up.  When the dance was over, she wanted down.  Needless to say, holding her did nothing to up my scores.

7.  The Judy has signed up for a dance class in Elko.  She said, "Well, hey, Erin, I'll tell ya, I'm pretty sure I'm the best dancer in the class."

8.  I have this weakness.  Every time I see the one pacifier that Carolyn likes in any store, I feel like I have to buy a set.  We currently know the location of five of those pacifiers around the house....and six more waiting in the drawer for when she loses them.

9.  Oh, and another weakness:  even though I decided Cadbury mini-eggs are no longer my favorite candy in the entire world, I went to Target yesterday and bought five bags of them.  You know.  In case I change my mind and need them.

10.  I'm obsessed with my Kindle.  That is all.

The Amazing Race won't be the same without the Cowboys! Andy thinks there should be a new rule for that show....You can't share information on any of the tasks. The Cowboys would still be in it if this were true.
