Seven Months

Baby Girl is seven months old today.

She has perfected her army crawl.

She's decided she's not interested in learning to crawl for real, because now she's interested in something else.

Standing up.

She pulls up really well on things with some give i.e. mom's shirt and dad's chest hair.

I was pretty sure she couldn't pull up on anything solid.

Until I walked upstairs yesterday afternoon to find her standing on top of her boppy pillow in her crib, looking to make a head first plunge to the floor in search of her lost binkie.

AAAAAACCCCKKKK.

It completely freaked me out.

Looks like we'll be spending some time today lowering the crib mattress.

Oh no! I had a similar experience with B. He had been napping and all of a sudden I hear desperate crying coming from his room. He was actually hanging out of his crib! He was bent over the rail at his waist, trying to reach his paci on the floor! He was totally stuck and couldn't figure out which way to go.

Thank goodness for cribs with adjustable heights!

Make sure you have your toilet seats closed! It will probably only be a matter of days for her to discover those. That is what my baby is into now. Very gross. And scary too if they try to reach in for something.
