Apparently I watch too much TV.
Shocker, I know.
We were just talking about the plane crash that killed the President of Poland.
And how they were flying in a Russian plane.
And then someone said, "Who is the President of Russia right now?"
I looked at him with that oh-my-word-you-are-such-an-idiot look and said, "Yuri Suvarov. And his wife's name is Anna, just in case you didn't know that either."
It took thirty minutes for me to realize that Yuri Suvarov is the Russian president on 24.
And he's totally not a real person.

That is funny! I thought I was stupid because that name did not sound familiar to me.
As I read your post I was thinking, "Wow! I'm impressed that Erin knows that kind of info about foreign countries!" Then I laughed when I kept reading. But then I thought how dumb I am not knowing real nor fictional names. :/ I guess I'm WAY out of it!
