My Boyfriend

Someone at work just asked me how my boyfriend feels about this baby.

Um.

I don't know how my boyfriend feels about it.  I haven't really asked him.

My husband, on the other hand, hopes it's a boy.

In fact, he may have compared having a girl to banana bread and having a boy to chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.  And then he might have said, "See, baby, banana bread is here.  And it's alright.  But chocolate cake is up here.  And it's better."

Having boy/boys is pretty awesome - like even chocolate cake awesome. However, just make sure husband is "chocolate cake" excited about having a little boy flying through the house and jumping on his...um...tenders. Maybe girls do that too? I have no idea.

Ohh, boys are good but girls are good too! Maybe at least for me boys are like ice cream and girls are like ice cream with raspberry cheesecake chunks in it. But they are both good and sweet at the same time! ;-) Good luck with your boyfriend and husband! Sometimes it can be hard to juggle both :-)

Two comments... 1) Sister in law has 6 kids and was asked by several people if they were all from the same father... as if that matters at this point. Sheesh!

2) I got so irritated with Korean men (Holden was born in Seoul) who had to tell the prego American lady that boys are better than girls (in front of my two rockin' daughters). It made me want another girl so bad just so I could shove it in their pushy little noses. Yes, yes, I realize that isn't exactly polite or culturally sensitive, but I was pretty irritated.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! At least no matter what lentil turns out to be, it will be his fault and not yours. :) Tell him that our girl is WAY more sporty than our boy. Bud keeps saying we will eventually have to try for another "BOY" so his man genes are properly passed on. In an unrelated story, when we first told our in-laws we were pregnant with Payson, Bud's brother dropped to his knees and said, "Please, God!!!!!!!! Let it be a BOY!!!!!!!!"
