Happy Anniversary!

Three years ago today Husband was lucky enough to make me his wife.  I mean, his totally HOT wife with so many talents he doesn't even know about.  I can't think of any right off hand, but when I do, I'll let you know.

This is what we looked like on our wedding day:

We were freezing to death.  My teeth look very nice if I do say so myself.  Kind of like a beaver. 

I'd had my fingernails done.  My cousin's five-year-old daughter asked me why and when I told her that I did it because I thought it would make me pretty, she just shook her head at me like I should have known better.

I feel very lucky to be married to Husband.  We were reading in Genesis last night where God made an help meet for Adam.  "Help meet" meaning someone who complimented him. 

That's what Husband does.

He compliments me. 

He's calm.  And steady.  And logical.  And tall. 

I'm none of those things. 

And that's why it's a good thing we're together. 

Because if we weren't, I'd probably be wandering around not really remembering where I was supposed to be going or where I was coming from, just wondering where on earth I could buy some meat-on-a-stick and a nice, big, Sonic Dr. Pepper.

Husband hooks me up with both.  He's good like that.
