Weekend Wrap Up

1. I had a dream about Kirk Herbstreit at Cougar Stadium this past Friday night (wherein we were playing handball together on the playing field at halftime). I got to work this morning and guess who's coming to do ESPN College GameDay in Provo this coming Saturday! Shoooooot, I'm good. I think I'm going to pitch a reality TV show to TLC that is based around me being psychic. Or maybe just psycho.

2. Since I love meat-on-a-stick so much and didn't want to wait until the fair to get some, I decided to try my hand at making it. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but it was a good start. I'll be giving it another shot just in time for the BYU vs. TCU game on Saturday.

3. The weather was so nice on Saturday that I left the kitchen window open all day long - with only a brief closure when I found one of the neighborhood girls trying to climb in it.

4. I'm really trying to get on board with the Primary program. But as someone who has to keep the three-year-olds under control on the stage for an entire hour, I'm having a hard time with it. Yesterday during practice, I had a kid who kept running off the stage and around the chapel, one who apparently thinks he needs to do headstands in his chair, one who can't sit still or be quiet...ever, and one who rolled her eyes at me and said, "I don't need to practice standing up and sitting down. I learned to do that two years ago."

5. More great news regarding the licensing test for massage therapy. Apparently I'm the first one from the school who has ever opted for the national test. And that leads us to even better news: I found out Friday that my school isn't really registered with the national board. And guess what?! School officials had no idea! Yeah. For real. They're trying to get it straightened out and stated that it should only take them three weeks to get it done. That puts the earliest date at which I can take the test in late November or early December. Just outstanding.

Erin, I sure hope that wasn't Gabi who was rolling her eyes. Because she has expressed some complaints about the sitting and standing. Lol. But, don't worry. When the actual program comes around and they see everyone staring at them, they'll straighten up!

Do you know you can buy a BYU Snuggie? I think you know what to ask Santa for.

Holli, it wasn't Gabi, it was Sylvia. And I admit, it was funny.

Kristina - if I lived somewhere with a winter I would have bought a snuggie long ago. And worn it to the BYU games. And given all the fans around me high fives. Just like the commercial.

Nancy - PLEASE make a sign and go down to the stadium on Saturday morning. That would be a riot to see you on College GameDay. And, unless Tyler knows someone important, I don't think he's getting in. They're saying all tickets are sold out. Of course, if this game is anything like the Florida State game, there should be plenty of empty seats mid-way through the third quarter.
