I got in trouble at work today.
I was making note cards for my massage test at my desk.
Mostly because I had nothing else to do.
I'd already visited all my regular Internet sites. Five times.
The Director asked me what I was doing.
So I told him.
He told me that we both could get fired over me studying at my desk.
He was nice about it.
I told him I wouldn't do it anymore and then proceeded to reminded him for the seventh time that I still have no job responsibilities.
He gave me the same old song and dance about everyone being so busy that there is no time to train me.
I asked him what I should do in the meantime.
He said that rather than studying I should just play games on the Internet because then at least I look busy to those walking in the door.
Ok, seriously?!
You want me to play games on the Internet six and a half hours a day? Farmville can only keep me occupied for so long. Even when I'm playing both my and Husband's farms.
Wouldn't studying be a lot more productive?
Not that it's a good use of paid work time but at least I would look and be less bored.
All this is a real shame.
I was making some real progress on re-learning the nervous system...

That would be awesome if my boss told me to play around on the Internet more.
My manager is a moron sometimes too...you've inspired me to blog a story that happened a few weeks ago. Excuse me now...
Okay, on facebook I told you to study out in the open and someone might get a clue... Great advice, Shelby!! But it did call some attention to your lack-of-work situation. Are there any online study sites -- my kids have one called study island or something like that where they can do all sorts of things to reinforce whatever concepts they are working on. At least then you might could study and satisfy the "looking busy" part. :)
