1. Listen to me whoever-is-stealing-my-scissors: I will find you. And when I do, I'm going to confiscate your giant pile of nippers and all the paper snowflake creations you have made in your cubbyhole full of other junk that you had to steal because you are a kleptomaniac. I might just burn your entire collection to spite you. Seriously. Three pairs of scissors at work gone in three weeks? That's bordering on ridiculous.
2. I introduced Husband to the broiled tomato and cheese sandwich this weekend (topped, of course, with lemon pepper). He actually liked it even though he's not a huge tomato fan. I think I might have licked my fingers when I was done with it. That right there is the taste of summer. Plus, it helped to dispose of several of my plethora of newly-ripe tomatoes.
3. The Doctor is hiring again. Well...I don't know if you'd call it hiring or not. He's trying to hire someone to fill-in for two months while The New Receptionist is on maternity leave. He made me post the job yesterday and since that time, he's interviewed six people. The only catch? He's not really telling them that the job is only temporary. I love it when he does stuff like that.
4. I love this time of year for one reason - most of the fruits and vegetables at the store are DELICIOUS. Monday I bought cherries, strawberries, and squash. SOOOOO good.
5. Hopefully, as of today, Husband will be on the road to recovery. He's been laid up on the couch ever since Sunday with his knee. Today he got in to see the orthopedic doctor who drained 110 cc's of fluid with the biggest syringe I've ever seen. It was beyond outstanding. His knee is almost back to normal size now.
6. Today is my sister, Cindy's 39th birthday. Good grief, we're all getting old.

Is Nick ok? We haven't called because you mentioned that people shouldn't call. But, is he ok?
He's getting better since Dr. Hayes drained his knee yesterday. He's still pretty sore but at least he can move a little now!
So what kind of cheese do you put on your broiled lemon-pepper tomato sandwich, cuz I could really get into this. Sounds way yummy.
Just plain old cheddar cheese. A little mayo. Broil until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted. I'm getting a little excited just thinking about it.
Why was his knee collecting fluid in the first place? Did they ever find out why? (My theory is you weren't giving Nick enough attention and he had to resort to drastic measures.)
