Foods That Make Me Want to Hurl

1. Cooked carrots. They make everything else around them taste like cooked carrots.

2. Cooked peas - straight out of the pod, they're fine. Cooked and they are like little puss pockets popping in your mouth.

3. Any fish with the head, eyes, or bones. I don't want my food to look at me. And if anyone is going to choke on fish bones, it's going to be me.

4. Walnuts - mom used to put them in everything.

5. Raisins - same reason I don't like peas...PUSS POCKETS.

6. Raw octopus - it freaks me out when it sucks to my mouth or my tongue. NASTY.

7. Liver and Kidney Pie - the kidneys taste like rocks and the liver feels like jelly. NOT A GOOD COMBINATION.

8. Bananas that have brown spots on them - I can only eat them if they are BARELY past green. Otherwise, it's a no-go.

9. Natto - fermented Japanese soybeans - smells like trash with the consistency of snot.

10. Goat intestines - ewww, ewww, and ewww.

oh come on! I LOVE natto. I admitt I hated it the first 3 times I tried it. But my companion was persistent and now I love it. My general rule is: try it four times before you can hate it. I do however hate tarako(roe) or fish ovary eggs and I've eatten them more times than I'd care to remember ;)

I gave natto it's fair chance - I had to eat it every two weeks for two years for school lunch. That's 50 tries, far past the four required tries.

I just finished hurling. I no longer like food.

Not all peas and carrots - just cooked ones. I eat them because I know I should, but I still don't like them. And raisins... I just can't do it!

Perhaps that's why you are skinny and I am not...

I like to eat walnuts and raisins TOGETHER. It's soooooo tasty. Does that make you want to hurl?

Yeah - I ESPECIALLY don't like walnuts and raisins together. That's why I'm happy that I am now in charge of making my own cinnamon rolls. NO RAISINS. And instead of walnuts, I can use pecans. DELICIOUS.

I agree about the cooked peas and carrots..those are gross. Pecans on Cinnamon rolls sounds amazing! And I eat them the same way, by uncurling them, it's the only way to go.

I actually liked Natto. But I also don't mind goat intestines...especially when fried or grilled.
