I Believe I Forgot To Mention...

I have no idea who is in charge of naming places in Arkansas, but I think it might be the town drunk (or perhaps the town drug dealer - you know, they don't frown on the distribution of the marijuana up that way).

No name I have ever seen can compare to a state park located right outside Little Rock: Toad Suck Park. Uh-huh. There was one of those pretty brown state park signs displayed prominently by the road that read, "TOAD SUCK PARK, 2 miles".

You can contact them by calling the Toad Suck Ferry Field Office. Can you imagine having to answer the phones there? Hi! This is Erin! Thank you for calling Toad Suck Ferry Field Office. No sir, I'm not kidding that's the real name...

No doubt the park was named during Governor Bill Clinton's double term. Maybe it was named after Hillary.

We also drove through Fayetteville (go hogs) and halfway across Oklahoma and through Norman (Home of the Sooners). Oklahoma is surprisingly hilly for a supposedly flat state. You know what's flatter than Oklahoma? Texas. And a pancake.

My grandaddy used to say if you stood on a box in your front yard you could see the back of your head, that's how flat it is. He had some great one-liners.
