I can't help but want to see more of the Japanese men's Olympic gymnastics team. I LOVE the Japanese men - the pixie haircuts and the perfectly groomed brows - they're just so....JAPANESE (and I know I shouldn't have had favorites, but all of my favorite students in Japan were male). It thrills me to my very toes listening to them talk to each other after their routines - it reminds me of every 20-something Japanese male teacher I ever met, who would periodically pound on their own chests and say, "Rasto Samurai!" i don't know about the japanese men, but i almost couldn't pull myself away from the women's gymnastics last night. deep down i just know if i would have stuck with it, i would have been an olympic gymnast. except....i'm at least 6 inches taller than every one of them. and also, i couldn't even stick with gymnastics for a year.
I thought that you had to have lived in Japan before you could really appreciate the male Japanese "look". However, yesterday the receptionist here looked at him yesterday and said, "Oh man, he's cute!" Uhh...what's wrong with you?
I also believe I could have been an Olympic athlete. Perhaps in the Track and Field arena...you know how blazing fast I am, afterall.
