Dear Sprinters:

Dear American Men and Women Entered in the 100 Meter Sprint at the Olympics:

WHAT HAPPENED??

Seriously.

I require an explanation. A GOOD explanation.

I think you should start by complaining that the Jamaicans are doping.

If they're not, the men's 100 meter might be the greatest athletic feat I've ever seen. Not to detract from the Jamaican women finishing 1-2-3 but when a man called "Lightening Bolt"comes out of no where to break the world record without even trying? That's amazing.

Then again, if his name hadn't been Lightening Bolt, I might not have paid as much attention...so it appears that the amazing thing is that he is actually fast enough to live up to his name. Much like myself - Erin "Lightening Female Hulk" Peters.

I personally believe that the sudden dominance of the Jamaicans is a bit fishy. But, kudos to Lightning Bolt. That race of his was amazing.

I didn't appreciate Mr. Bolt's showboating and acting like an idiot after the race--oh and did I mention he started to quit before the race was over?--hello, this is the Olympics!!! I hope somebody talks to him about sportsmanship before he blows everyone away in the 200.

Yeah, I loved how he just stopped running with 20 meters left and jogged the rest of the way while celebrating. I'm sure I'm just jealous. Oh, yes, we may just have our internet back. Don't get too excited just yet, but your prayers (and mine) may have just been answered...

What happened to the relays was four BIG personalities on each team...none of them cared about the team, just about themselves.
