Loud Mouth Erin Speaks on Zion

The teacher at church today posed this question, "What and where is Zion?"

After several perfunctory answers, one lady raised her hand and said, "I think Zion is in Texas."

The room went completely quiet wherein Loud Mouth Erin, unable to keep her voice to a whisper blurted (while also snorting loudly), "Well, THAT'S A LIE!"

I sank down in my seat as the evil eye (or I should say, evil EYES) settled on me.

What? Seriously. They were teaching false doctrine. I can't be partner to that.

Just as a PS here, because Husband got so indignant at this post, I would just like to point out that the "false doctrine" comment is a JOKE. He says at this rate, I will never make friends in Texas.

Go Erin! Ha Ha I wish I could have been there! In Atlanta, let's just say there has been more than once that we've heard some interesting "doctrine"! But I've been too chicken to say anything. Maybe next time I will...I'll let you know :)

I so enjoy reading your blogs! You're a true sweetheart, and I think you're the best of the best!

So sorry I wasn't there today. Sounds like it was interesting.

And PLEASE know ... you DO have a friend in Texas! And this ole Texan will tell you with a shout ... Texas is NOT Zion!!!:)
At least not in my definition of Zion anyways.

Love ya lots!

Erin, this had me rolling. I wish I could have been there. Don't sweat it. You haven't been the first sister to blurt out something inappropriate in R.S.

:)

And, I'm with you. After travelling the U.S. for three weeks, I can loudly proclaim that Texas is NOT Zion... not even a close second.

Yeah, agreed even from a true Texan.
