Top Ten Things That Freak Me Out

  1. Reaching down into ANY drain. It makes me want to hurl when the water backs up and I have to clean off the drain - food OR hair. God tried to cure me of this by making me clean the showers at the MTC as service. It didn't work.
  2. Steep stairs (especially if there is no handrail). I always have to go up stairs like this on all-fours because I'm scared I'm going to slip and fall.
  3. People who spend more money on their dogs than their children. This includes anyone who buys clothing for their dogs. I mean, COME ON!
  4. Men who love their fancy cars more than their own lives.
  5. Old men who flirt with me. For some reason, when I lived in Japan, this didn't bother me AT ALL. I guess in English it's just more creepy.
  6. Snakes. I'm sorry, but I've watched and watched shows on them on Animal Planet and I still hate them in real life.
  7. People who talk about their bodily functions. I don't want anyone to describe the color of their snot or the texture of their diarrhea. Unfortunately, people who come into the doctor's office often feel that this is a requirement.
  8. Money management. I wish I could get a guarantee that my bank account would never be empty.
  9. Big crowds. I don't like to be in any place that I can't move freely without other people touching me. This is why I have a hard time going grocery shopping on Saturdays.
  10. Swimming in dirty water. I'm not one of those people who HAS to see the bottom, but I want to know what's swimming/floating around my legs.

Wow, I think you summed those things up pretty well, and I would have to say that I too, am freaked out by those things. I'm not sure why the flirting in Japan is less creepy, I only experienced it a few times but it didn't bother me either.
