Last Saturday was Husband's 30th birthday. Instead of having a big party with lots of presents like I would have done, he decided to stay home all day and make his own birthday cake. Bless his heart! You've gotta feel a little bad for him, though. What kind of rotten wife doesn't even make a cake for their Husband on their birthday?? The good news is that Husband is a WAY better cook/baker than I am and he did a terrific job with his chocolate mousse cake. Husband, we salute your Nick-ness.

Happy Birthday Nick!
The cake looks great! Reckon you could freeze me a slice until the next time I come visit?
That's not nearly enough candles. Erin, I am proud of you for starting to use "bless his heart" in real live scentences. Now all you have to do is learn how to use it in front of an insult so it makes you sound like you have a heart. For example, "Wow, that person sure has horrible gas issues, bless their heart." See? Makes it sound like you care while all the time you were just insulting them or stating the obvious.
There were only 24 candles to a box and had I put all of them on, I would have burnt my hand lighting them...I was not willing to make the sacrifice.
And as far as using "bless their heart" to insult people, I don't think you can do it without the southern accent. It just doesn't sound right. I guess I could fake the accent...but my southern accent is kind of a mix of Japanese-English, Erin-English, black-English, and pig latin. It's not exactly authentic.
Happy Birthday Nick! And, Erin, I FINALLY finished your book. Fabulous! Hey, where were you Sunday? We were lonely! :(
