I was sick all week last week. It wasn't the kind of sick where you feel like you're going to die, it was the kind of sick that nags and nags at you until you feel physically and emotionally exhausted.
I was feeling pretty down Thursday night and thought that there was no way I was going to be able to pull through it (and yes, I am a drama queen and we all know it), when, on Friday morning, Husband skipped his first class just to stay with me until I had to leave for work. He said, "I thought that you needed me."
Over the weekend, I was too hot to keep the heater on (I believe that me being hot all the time is a super power...I just haven't figured out how to use it) but instead of complaining, Husband got out a blanket and said that he was trying to get "Nevada tough". He said that as long as I snuggled with him on the couch, he would be fine (and that's saying a lot because he's not nearly the snuggler I am. I would lay right on top of him if he would let me get away with it).
He also took me out to dinner Saturday night, cooked breakfast Sunday morning, went grocery shopping with me, and let me watch football even though neither of us really had an interest in either game (thanks to Tony Romo and apparently, Jessica Simpson).
I know that I've said it time and time again (and I know that it's sappy), but I'm very thankful to have such a good husband.

There is something heart-warming and loveable about a man that will take care of his woman. Some men think that it's all about beating other people up or "defending your honor." But, for me, it's about who's going to bring me toliet paper when it's out and who's going to hold my hair when I puke. Kudos to Nick!
I think it's twice as sweet because lots of people are intimidated by Husband or think that he is mean (mostly the people that he works with). I guess it's a good thing that only a few know his soft-side-secret.
It always makes life more bearable when you marry well. When are you coming out to St. Louis so I can meet this guy? (Don't worry, I'd have LOTS of manly things scheduled to do-especially if he comes during a Jane Austen party!!) I bet you could schedule a book signing here, too!
I've been to Missouri once and I'm going to have to say that I wasn't particularly impressed. Plus, didn't they just barely recind the order that Governor Boggs signed to drive the Mormons from the state or, if necessary, exterminate them??
I would LOVE to do a book signing there!! Then I could be famous in two places!
I'm sure Husband would enjoy the Jane Austen. I'm sure that he would have some unsavory words at her expense!
And don't worry, I actually do know how to spell "rescind".
