NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR!!

I was talking with the doctor the other day about his nephew. His nephew has just gotten out of jail AGAIN, thanks to the doctor's generosity in posting the bail. As such, I have been in contact with the bail bondsman several different times, getting trial times and dates, etc. The doctor is always very worried because apparently, his nephew is NOT very responsible in getting to court or in doing anything that he is supposed to do.

Anyway, I was sitting there yesterday when he said this, "Can you believe that the judge wants him to retain his own lawyer when he only makes $9/hour?"

Ok...hang on just a minute. HANG ON JUST A MINUTE. You mean to tell me that your nephew, who is a convicted felon/wife beater/alcoholic/druggie makes almost as much as ME? Me, who is a college graduate, never had a drink of alcohol, never done drugs, never even talked to a policeman (except in Japan and that doesn't count)??

I know that I should have the "abundance attitude" (meaning that there is enough for everyone and I should just be happy for him), but when a convicted felon can get a job paying $9/hour and a person like me has to struggle to find one at all, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM.
