Great news!! A few weeks ago I compiled my Japan experiences and sent them to publishers in the form of a mauscript. Last week, I got an acceptance letter!!!! Being completely un-Erin-like, I did some research on the company before getting too excited about it or telling anyone (except Husband, Judy-Roo, Cheeky, and Speedy). I just wanted to make sure that it's not too good to be true/a rip-off ploy (which I am kind of obessed with since they have those shows on Dateline NBC where all of the Nigerians are ripping off Americans by email).
Anyway, I've just signed the contract today. They said that the publishing process takes 4-6 months depending on how much editing needs to be done. I'M SO EXCITED (and I've had to help Husband show his excitement as well).
Now I just have to find a way for Oprah to get her hands on the book and recommend it on her show. Books that she recommends usually shoot to the top of the charts. Of course, this book is not about weight loss or self-improvement, so I might not have a very good chance...

YAY!!!! How great! I KNEW you'd get published. Your stuff is hilarious! Just remember the little people when you're all rich and famous and stuff.
