My husband is a Champion Husband. I have told him in the past that there is no way he can surprise me. I told him that I have this "sense". I told him that I ALWAYS know when he's planning something.
Turns out that I was wrong. This past weekend, Husband surprised the pants right off of me. He packed my suitcase, hid it in the trunk of his car, and drove me to a nice hotel in Galveston for a surprise weekend. He said that it was for our six month anniversary despite the fact that I am nearly sure we have only been married for five.
We ate, sat on the beach, and spent time in the room where I turned the air conditioner down as far as it would go (to combat the temperature outside which I'm sure was at least 925 degrees). It was SO nice. Right before we came back home, he took me to this delicious seafood restaurant for shrimp, crab dip, and some of the best chocolate cake known to man.
Husband, we salute you as a champion.
