Let me give you some examples of some whiners that I have come in contact with lately:
- A lady came in the office today needing to use the bathroom. Since there was already someone in the bathroom (the bathroom is located about five steps from my desk...a very quaint location) and another waiting to give a specimen (that is the PC term for "pee in a cup"), I told her that she would have to wait. She stared to grumble about how there is only one bathroom and how she had to go SOOO bad and how we should work harder to have more bathrooms. Ok, lady...#1, I can't control the number of bathrooms in the bloody building and #2, if the bathroom is full, the bathroom is full. There isn't a single thing I can do about it so shut up and wait like a normal person.
- A man who is abnormally high maintenance also came in today. We couldn't find a blood test that the doctor ordered on him over a month and a half ago, so we were calling everyone and their dog trying to find it. I made a mistake by walking into the room he was in to ask him when he's had it done and got a whole rant about how other doctor's offices and labs should release records and how he's been through SOOO much in the last two weeks with doctors. Then he started talking to me as if I could remember what blood tests we had done on a certain day. Listen, man, I can't remember what I ate for breakfast this morning and you want me to remember a blood test we did on you over a month ago? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
- Doctor sees many patients who don't have health insurance at no charge. They are always the worst whiners, complaining that things are not being done fast enough or they are not getting enough time with the doctor. I just want to yell, "Hello! You are getting FREE health care....and pretty good health care at that. You should just sit down, shut up, and be grateful."

AMEN!!! Kill all the whiners!
I'm a firm believer in punishing people for bad behavior. I'm trying to think of something that would be universal that would still be effective.
