Thanet was right. I'm NOT a Texan. I know this because the other day, I wore a Texas A&M hoodie to Walmart (this because fiancee is a fan and I've decided that in order to reduce tension in the house, I, too, will root for the Aggies. This is despite a personal vendetta I've had against them since 1990 when they ran up the score on BYU in the Holiday Bowl and proceeded to separate both of Ty Detmer's shoulders. Bad sportsmanship...VERY bad).
So anyway, there I was at the Walmart, minding my own business, doing my shopping (which included toilet cleaner), when FIVE different people found the need to comment on my attire. I would tell you what they said but to be perfectly honest. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS. I'm pretty sure that three out of the five comments were derogatory. Then again, they could've been nice. How can you tell? How can you tell when people are saying things like, "the bevo dehorned the aggie". I'm no expert, but isn't the bevo the Texas University mascot?? And didn't A&M beat Texas this year? I really don't know.
What I'm saying is that I've opened a can of worms that I'm not prepared to deal with. Next thing you know, I'll be dropping the "s" isn't and the "r" in through. And the next step will be learning about the aggie jokes. Crap. Why do I have to be Texan? There's just too much to know.

Aggies, huh? Oh well, good luck with that.
I'm sure with a little practice you'll make a great Texan, though!
