You Know What's Awesome?

You know what's awesome?

Having your nearly 2-year-old wake up screaming that her tummy hurts.

And having her continue screaming for nine straight hours.

And you trying to do everything you can to help her, crying frustrated, upset tears, and probably end up doing her more harm than good.

And then finally getting a call-back from the doctor wherein they tell you that you should have done the very first thing you thought you should do but didn't do because all of the parenting forums on the Internet tell you that you should talk to your doctor before doing it.

ARGH!

And if that wasn't awesome enough, you start feeling ill about five hours into the screaming.

Like heart attack kind of feelings.

Where you think you're going to vomit any time you move.

And since you haven't had a gallbladder attack in almost a year, you fail to recognize the symptoms.

And then you have to drink apple cider vinegar just so you can at least take the edge of the pain so you can sleep a little (and praising Becky from Idaho's name for being wise enough to give you that tip).

I'll tell you what - forget water boarding or pulling off people's finger nails, just have them drink vinegar once or twice and they'll tell you anything you want to know.

This morning, I woke up still in pain, sore all over, just wishing that I could go back to bed.

Carolyn was still reaping the benefits of all of the treatments I gave her yesterday so I had to run her down to change a diaper that leaked diarrhea all down her legs and onto the carpet - from the living room, all the way up the stairs to my bedroom.

Like I said, awesome.

That sounds like quite a day. Something to look forward to I guess... Love reading your blog Erin.

You know you can mix that vinegar with something to make it taste better - like vodka perhaps.

OK, I snorted. You're welcome, and seriously, lecithin works even better! Also, sorry you've all been sick. No bueno. I'll never forget the weekend Husband and I suffered food poisoning with an 8 month old. We were so sick, we couldn't even walk to the bathroom to throw up; we had to crawl. Anyway, empathy headed your general direction.
PS I'm looking for a new town. Any places in Texas worth moving to? Y'alls property tax rates about made me faint, FYI.
