Here's the Deal:

WARNING:  This post contains TMI about my body.  Just so you know.

So.

Ever since Carolyn was born and I breastfed her for the short time I did, I've had a problem.

A big problem.

Well, not so big to anyone else, but big to me.

A nipple problem.

Carolyn would call it a "Bipple problem", which really is so much more cute, since I kind of get red-faced and giggle a little but every time I even think about typing the word "nipple".

Let's just say that my nipples are always...um...on.

High beams.

Smuggling raisins.

Stuff like that, you know.

I can generally get around it by wearing a padded bra.

But at the gym, I'm not so lucky.

You see, it was hard enough finding a stupid 38DD sports bra to begin with.

Apparently girls my size don't (or shouldn't) buy sports bras.

And, when we do buy them, we apparently don't need any extra padding.

Well, people, I assure you that I do.

I spend a lot of my time at the gym with my arms crossed over my chest trying to hide what I've got going on there.

It's super, super embarrassing.

However, if I'm going to exercise, I eventually have to bare all and just deal with it.

Short of lining by bra with a pair of socks, I can't think of a single thing to make it better.

Well, Erin, I'm nursing so I can relate BIG time! :) Also, the bras don't really come in my size either, soo... yeah... I feel ya.

I put in nursing pads (Lastinoh) and found that it helps. Sometimes I even double 'em up for extra padding, but don't tell anyone! Another advantage to this is it offers a little extra bit o' sweat absorption for those of us who get a little hot beneath the bra.

Try an enell bra. You can get them online. They're the best sports bras ever. You won't even know you have nipples. If anyone's a boob expert, you know it's me.

I always thought you were cold even if you were sweating...So I have this friend who doesn't wear bras ever. She puts bandaids over her nips to conceal the high beams. Give it a try!

They sale nipple "stickers". I don't know the official name. I have a friend who is really small and that is all she wears. I have seen them at Dillards.

I think this is an example:

Sorry, no ideas from me. Mine are old and saggy. Nipples are probably down in my belly button!!

This probably isn't anyone's idea of fun while working out. But when I was in athletics, some of my teammates would wear a normal bra and then put their sports bra on top of it. Probably not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it helped.

Oh Erin, I've always been busty- 36C pre baby, and those suckers were 38-40 E/F for the first 3-4 months after having Kings. As a VERY avid runner I am a two sport bra girl. I buy normal stupid sport bras in a medium or large (depending on what size I am, right now I am back to pre-pregnant boobs, so I am wearing a size medium) and then I just wear two of them. If your nips can show through 2 sport bras, I say kudos to them.

Plus I loathe bouncing boobs when I exercise. I don't want those suckers to move- it's bad enough that I have them and have to clothe them in stuff and they insist on having cleavage. I would love to have some A cup action.

And really, I hate any extra movement when I exercise- like I hate clothing bounce/chafing, etc. My post-pregnancy body was rough on my psyche with all it's jiggle and movement. I couldn't have cared less about my weight/extra flab post pregnancy, it was that it freaking MOVED when I exercised! I've been a double sport bra wearer since high school basketball/cheerleading and track. It is like my insane, crazy, obsessive characteristic when I exercise.

Double bras over here, too. I really like the lock-down-tightness of Bali Flower bra. That, my friend, is a solid bra. Throw a $40 Champion sports bra on top, and your girls won't be going ANYWHERE without you.
