Fire Museum of Texas

This morning we went to the Fire Museum of Texas.

Carolyn has recently begun hugging all inanimate objects she sees.  Not even this fire hydrant was spared:

Looking for the world's largest fire hydrant?  Look no further!  Just one more reason to visit scenic Beaumont, Texas!

Carolyn even got her picture taken with the museum "mascot".  You'd think the obvious choice for a fire museum mascot would be a dalmation.  Naturally, you'd be wrong.  I have a feeling this dog wasn't a mascot at all, but the museum director's pet she couldn't bear to leave at home:

Either way, it was a very well behaved dog and didn't seem to mind the grabbing hands of the three one-year-olds in attendance.
