More Carolyn-isms

We have only recently learned that NONE of the doors in our house latch properly.

As such, unless you're holding her still on your lap, Carolyn has complete and total access to the entire house.

This is not a good thing.

Her latest discovery is the little storage space under the stairs.

The one that I spent four hours organizing last month.

This is what it looks like now:

And this is what happens when The Mother leaves the Valentine's cookies too close to the edge of the counter.

Cookies for breakfast!!

SCORE!

Another of Carolyn's new favorite places to sit:

And this is Carolyn in her element at the Valentine's Party we went to yesterday:  batting clean-up.

She was quite thrilled with the leftovers on the plates of all the other kids.

This has nothing to do with Carolyn, but the lichens on the tree outside are green and gorgeous right now:

Did you know I took a biology class from a professor in college who wrote his doctoral dissertation on lichenometry and was a world-renowned lichenologist?

Like, he traveled all over the world to study fungus in slag heaps.

As if anyone could have picked anything more interesting to be an expert in.

I would say Carolyn keeps you very busy.
