Jack-O'-Lantern

In an effort to not appear to be the holiday dead beat mother I actually am, I bought a pumpkin today.

I thought Carolyn would like to help me carve it.

Mostly because it would require a sharp object.

For some reason, she always wants to get her hand on the steak knives.

Here's what she thought:

Naturally, the execution fell to me.

I have a problem.

Where I can't cut straight.

And the only thing I can make are triangles.

This is what my first try looked like:

I'm sorry, is that Billy Pat, the pumpkin?

Um.

Yeah.

Good thing pumpkins have two sides.

This one is marginally better.

There were supposed to be two more teeth, but they ripped right out.
