For dinner tonight, this.
For dinner last night, this.
Yeah, I know what all of you are thinking.
Oh, it's soup weather.
Of course Erin is making soup.
Except it's not bloody soup weather in Texas.
It's still Popsicle and cold-shower-in-the-middle-of-the-day weather.
I sweat.
I sweat much.
But, there's just no way I can wait any longer for soup weather to come, stupid Texas.
October should be chilly in the evenings.
And the leaves should be turning.
Eating soup is a normal thing to do in October.
And so, I will.
Whether the weather dictates it or not.
PS There are lower fat options available for both of the soups. Use turkey sausage instead of Italian sausage. Use low fat evaporated milk for the cream. Use low fat half and half. But don't do all three at once.

I'm reading The Help (finally!) and one of the lines totally made me think of every sweat comment you've ever made on this blog....of course I can't it right now just flipping through the pages (I tried, but I'm really not THAT dedicated to finding it), anyway, it was something like, "...she don't stop sweating except for maybe 4 seconds in February". Sounded like something you'd say. It was awesome.
My hubby hates soup...seriously!? That totally ruined a lot of my cooking after we got married. Sometimes I just make it and he chokes it down.
