Like chevre.
Oh, what?
You don't know what that means?
Well.
That's probably because you didn't study French for two years under Madame Reber at WHS.
Had you done so, you'd know that chevre is goat cheese.
I like to think that all goat cheese made by that old, grumpy man in Heidi.
The one with Shirley Temple in it.
He had goats, you know.
Goat cheese looks like this:
It kind of looks like cheese with dirt mixed in.
But it's totally Herbs de Provence.
Translation: herbs that are better than other herbs because they're French.
It's good on a cracker.
Or just straight off your finger.
Or whatever.
And these are eggs.
From chickens.
You know, just in case you thought they were from a pelican.
I really like brown eggs.
And then, I got some of this, from my friend, Jodi:
It makes me want to make scones.
And also, a giant batch of honey butter from my sister's in-law's recipe.
Except I can't make that.
Because I also bought some honey.
But I gave it to Carolyn and she dropped it somewhere along the way.
I didn't notice.
Some lucky duck got themselves and entire honey bear full of honey for free.
Carolyn says you're welcome.
But when she says it, it sounds like, "Dukubamadakuk."
I'm pretty sure that's "you're welcome" in French.

HAHAHA! The herbs are better because they're French. That's totally the way to the French think. :D
How can Apple Butter be sugar free? Apples contain fructose. Lots of fructose. I could see "no sugar added"...Apple butter is seriously yummy but it's way hard to find without HFCS in it. Boo.
No, it is false advertising - but, there are only 4 grams of carbs per 2 tablespoon serving, which I was pretty excited about :) That means Husband can have pear butter on a piece of whole wheat toast for only one carb! YAY!
That is SWEET! I'm going to attempt making Apple Butter this year, because I just can't find any with who's ingredients list I'm thrilled. It's a toss up as to which is better: apple butter or home made strawberry jam.
We're thinking of doing the 100 Day Real Food Challenge, but that's quite a commitment. Maybe AFTER the holidays. :)
