You May Say I'm a Dreamer

You know how when you were a little kid, you used to tell your parents that if you could just have such-and-such, you'd never ask for anything ever again?

I found one of those things today.

Another massage therapist in town talked me into touring a potential spa location that might be coming up for rent here in town.

OH-EM-GEE.

I was breathless.

It's a house built in the 1920's.

With wood floors and a wonky floor plan.

It is filled with beautiful furniture that the present owner said she would be willing to leave there until it is sold.

It was a space I could totally picture myself in.

Along with all of my billions of clients who are loyal only to me sitting around that antique table in soft bathrobes drinking tea and gossiping.

It's perfect.

Unfortunately, I don't actually have a billion massage clients.

Or even like ten.

And therefore, the rent is beyond my stubby reach.

But that didn't keep me from dreaming and going through every possible scenario where I could make the payments anyway before some other schmuck (who obviously doesn't deserve it) gets it.

Sigh.

I lust.

Well you have at least one client!! Except I'm not a regular...not sure how that works, but oh well...I'm a fan!! I would like to see pictures of this beautiful place. I love old homes!!

Was one of your ideas to share it with another therapist?

Yes, even with the rent split down the middle with me and the therapist who took me to the spot, neither of us can afford it :( I've been trying to think all night about how to section off another room out of the main room so we could include one more therapist or an aesthetician, but so far, none of the ideas have been good.
