The One Where It's My Birthday
Today is my 33rd birthday!
I'm not like other people.
Despite the fact that I'm not still four-years-old, I want everyone to know it's my birthday.
And I want people to know how old I am.
And I want a biiiiiiig party.
This birthday is extra special because according to Japanese lure, I'm coming out of my unlucky 32nd year.
Score.
Also special because I'm counting it as my golden birthday since I was only three when I had my actual golden birthday.
Two threes together is much better than one.
However, this birthday is also anticlimactic because for the last year, I've already thought I was 33.
And that I would be turning 34.
And therefore, I also made everyone I know a year older than they are and wished my brother a happy 36th birthday when he was only 35.
It's only 10 am and already, this has been a perfect birthday for the following reasons:
1. It's raining. I love rain.
2. It's only 80 degrees and the humidity in the air is greatly decreased.
3. I left the back door open and let Carolyn wander out onto the patio in the rain to her heart's content.
4. Husband sang a freestyled Happy Birthday to me.
5. Carolyn and I danced in the kitchen to Ricky Martin.
6. This is the first birthday since we've been married where Husband doesn't have to work.
7. There is bread dough rising...for cinnamon rolls (sorry to Husband, who can't have even one).
8. Carolyn slept until 7:15 this morning.
9. We're having grilled burgers for lunch.
10. It's COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY - the first of the season - GOOOOO BYU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEEEEE!
Here are some other reasons why you should be excited I'm turning 33.
My very favorite of these is that 33 is the atomic number of arsenic.
