And So It Goes

1.  Feeling crappy on Thursday led to feeling crappy Friday, Saturday, and today.  I've a wicked cough and I've been sweating profusely even in our air conditioned house.

2.  Even though I felt crappy Friday, I'd promised another massage therapist in town that I'd absolutely be available to do a couples massage with her that evening.

3.  I'm glad I went because the two ladies that came were hysterical.  Although, hysterical probably wasn't the best thing - every time I started to laugh, I'd cough all over the place.  Nothing like being coughed on by your therapist.

4.  The best part was that I got to massage the lady who gave constant feedback during the massage in the form of, "Oh, Lord, thank you, Jesus!" shouted about every 30 seconds or so, to which, the other therapist answered, "Amen, sister!"

5.  Carolyn has suddenly stopped eating.  She used to be a great eater but now she hardly eats anything at all.  Anything put on her high chair tray is thrown over the side in less than a minute.  What gives?

6.  The BYU game last night was so embarrassing, I don't even know where to begin.  No one could hang on to the ball.  I guess I should have expected that since I'd spent all week making fun of Notre Dame for having 10 turnovers in the last two games.  BYU almost equaled that last night.  I was literally sick to my stomach.  We had to turn it off mid-way through the third quarter.

7.  I thought I had a pretty good handle on Husband's blood sugar, but apparently I have no idea what I'm doing.  I'd been so careful about all the things I've giving him - absolutely no potatoes, no refined sugars, etc. and his blood sugar was in the normal-high range.  Then, several days in a row, in a super fun science experiment, Husband has eaten cookies, cinnamon rolls, apple juice, mashed potatoes, and french fries.  And we're not talking small portions, either.  And guess what?  His sugars have fallen and mostly stayed below 120 (after both the mashed potatoes and the apple juice, it was below 100) the entire time.  I don't get it.

8.  Over the past two weeks, I've boasted to at least three people that I make the best cinnamon rolls on the planet.  Then, yesterday I made a gigantic failure batch.  They didn't rise right and the frosting turned out grainy.  Very embarrassing.

9.  I finally convinced Husband to let me clean out his massive DVD collection.  We've taken all of the DVDs out of their cases and put them in CD covers.  We have so much more space now!  And, it quenched my need to throw stuff away - it took two giant black garbage bags to cart the covers out to the garbage.

10.  Husband goes to Houston tomorrow to take the pre-test for his final certification test.  If he scores at least in the mid-80's, they'll let him take the actual test.  Please, please, please let that happen!

I remember doing that with our CDs. It was like 3 or 4 garbage bags full of jewel cases. And I wasn't okay with it for some reason. But now, best thing we've ever done and I am tempted to start doing it with our DVDs.
