1. I've spent most of the day today reading up on carbohydrates and fiber. Oh, and how much more food you can have if you eat fresh fruit as opposed to canned fruit. Seriously. It's like, A LOT more.
2. I'm going to attempt to make a low carb mac and cheese tonight. It's also supposed to be kind of low fat. I hope both of those things don't doom me right from the beginning.
3. People keep thinking that Husband's wound is this perfect hole or perfect incision. It's totally not. Think of Oklahoma. Or like a T-bone steak with a really long tail. Except it's the color of tuna steak, not beef. Have I grossed anyone out yet?
4. For all intents and purposes, things here at home have returned to normal. Husband was playing college football on the xBox and threw a tantrum because his team was "fumbling on every single play".
5. We are near finishing week four of this whole necrotizing fasciitis mess. August has slipped away from me. And because of that, I've missed signing up for the adult clogging class I was going to take this fall. I've been talking about it for three months. I'm pretty sad about tit.
6. I had to go to the local medical supply place to get some wound packing supplies for Husband. I'm pretty sure I was the only one in there under the age of 70. And all those 70-year-olds sure were pushy. At least three of them cut in front of me in line. But what was I going to do, shove them over?
7. I think Carolyn was supposed to be a dog. She likes to eat off the floor, chew on shoes and the edge of the couch, and have her tummy tickled.
8. It's the tax free shopping weekend here today and tomorrow. Did everyone know that all baby products are included in that? I mean, like diapers and wipes?!
9. The flower ladies at the grocery store gave Carolyn a helium balloon the other day. It now floats about 1 1/2 feet above the floor. I keep catching out of hte corner of my eye. It freaks me out. I either think someone's broken into our apartment or there's some critter over in the corner.
10. Fifteen days until college football!!

I think I look forward to tax-free weekend more so than my birthday. I love getting all baby necessities tax-free! And maybe I grab myself a shirt or two. :)
I'm glad your life has a sense of normalcy with your hubby home.
Oh, and you've got to watch out for those old grannies. Some of them aren't as sweet as they seem. You better believe they'll cut in front of you and pull the, "Oh, I didn't see ya there," card.
P.S...You gotta fill me in on Amazon Mom.
Tell Nick that I am taking good care of the nurses up here at Baptist.
