*Day 17.
*Word on the street is that the surgeon is going to come with the wound vac nurse.
*To look at the wound for the first time since surgery two weeks ago.
*And decide if they'll pack it and send us home.
*Both of us are kind of counting on getting released today.
*But, at the same time, I'm terrified to bring Husband home.
*Because who is going to have to unpack and repack that wound?
*You got it.
*The weenie-wimp-wuss wife who may throw up and pass out simultaneously.
*And don't even get me started on how I feel about cooking for a diabetic.
*What if I mess up?
*Over the weekend, Carolyn had a snotty nose, so we pretty much stayed home from the hospital.
*Except when Carolyn was awake, we came up to see Husband.
*My kleptomaniac daughter kept trying to steal stuff off the housekeeping carts.
*She decided to haul those big, yellow "Wet Floor" signs home.
*She took the one that was in the elevator nearly halfway to the car before I made her put it down.

If you want to run your menus by me, I can totally help with the cooking part. Been there, done that, currently being paid to cook meals for a person with similar special medical needs. :)(seriously, I can't believe someone is PAYING me to do something I love)
There's a pasta out there called Dream Fields. It's super low in digestible carbs and tastes like actual noodles. You'll have to stock up on air freshener, though. Makes you toot like a trucker.
Hey Erin!
This is Michelle Webb (Judy Webb's daughter-in-law lol). So, I've been totally stalking your blog for a looong time now, but just never mustered up the courage to comment! I'm working on my Master's in Dietetics, and actually I'm interning in a Diabetes Education Facility. I feel like I might be able to help you guys out with a few things, so if you feel like it, call me! (Holli has my number!)
:D
