Big Baby Girl

Today was Carolyn's nine month check-up.

She is happy, healthy, and obsessed with the doctor's ear-checker-thingy-bobber.

The mother, as always, is in trouble for not feeding Carolyn enough milk in one day.

The father went along today as well but said that if Carolyn had to have immunizations, he would have to step out of the room.

And thus we see who is the tougher of the two parents.

Or maybe the one who is more heartless??

Here are Carolyn's stats for future generations:

Height:  28.25 inches
Weight: 20 lbs. 13 oz.

The nurse measured her head but apparently that was a secret because she never told us how big it was.

Maybe it falls in the "freakin' huge" category.

Today for the first time, Carolyn wore one of her 9-12 month onesies.

The mother apparently bought a selection of boy's onesies because one of them says, "Handsome like daddy."

The mother just wanted to dress her baby in something other than pink for once, thank-you-very-much.



After the appointment, we stopped by my old office to show off Carolyn.

The Tummy Toucher was there.

She wanted my new cell phone number and I said, '"Oh, um, I don't know what it is.  But, write yours down and I'll call you."

In truth, I don't have a new cell phone number.

But last time she tried to call me, I made Husband answer and pretend he'd never heard of me.

Am I going to hell for lying??

I think that kind of lie is acceptable.

Because she's a fruitcake.

And you're allowed to lie to fruitcakes.

I mean, it's basically the 13th commandment.

Right??
