Six Month Stats

Carolyn had her six month check-up today.

The doctor just kept saying, "Oh, she's a BIG girl!"

Here are her stats:

1.  Height:  26.5 inches

2.  Weight:  18lbs. 4oz.

3.  Head Circumference:  Gigantic

4.  Cute Factor on a scale of 1-10:  11

5.  Table paper ingested while waiting for the doctor:  Approximately 2 pounds

6.  Number of times poked with a needle:  Four

7.  Seconds unable to breathe due to crying so hard over needle pokes:  10.4

Packing away 3-6 month clothes to make room for 6-9 month clothes.  This is particularly sad to the mother.

Her skills include:  sitting up on her own, skootching (yes, I just made that word up) from one place to another, getting up on her hands and knees for short periods of time, rolling in her own spit up, eating faster than either mom or dad can get the spoon in her mouth, passing objects from one hand to the other, getting her own pacifier in her mouth one time out of ten, spinning in her jump jump.

Looks like she's on to fruits and vegetables as well - first up, peas.  Yum.  Delicious peas.

The mother's newest worry - that someone will steal Carolyn in the grocery store while she has her back turned.  She didn't think she had to worry about this during the first three months because Carolyn was so colicky, that if someone took her, they'd soon bring her back.  But now that she's getting to be so much fun, the mother is pretty sure everyone wants her.
