The fall leaves here in southeast Texas peaked about three weeks ago. I drove out toward China and Nome (if we're staying in Texas, we're moving out that way someday) right after Thanksgiving and kept thinking that I should stop and snap a few pictures. I kept putting it off and lo and behold, the leaves fell off the trees. Imagine that.
I was pretty upset about it until yesterday, on my way to church, I saw two of the most beautiful fall trees I've ever seen. I didn't have my good camera (and also, I was kind-of-sort-of trespassing on people's front lawns to get the shots), so the pictures really don't do them justice, but here's my Texas fall:
