And, the Good Things...

So, we kind of had a crappy Christmas.

But, there were some good things as well.

Like this ham:

Ok, fine, I've never been able to take beautiful food pictures.  It also probably doesn't help anything that we left the knife in the meat...like a cave man.  But, it was delicious.  We had it with our old-go-to-fave macaroni and cheese.  We made revisions to both recipes...I could tell you about it, but then I'd have to kill you.

Every family holiday, Grandma Neff used to make shrimp cocktail.  I wouldn't touch the stuff till college, when it quickly became one of my favorite parts about Christmas.  I was going to make this recipe, but then I came down with the cold from hell.

So, imagine my surprise when Husband showed up with this:

It was wonderful.

Another thing that makes or breaks Christmas for me is the presence of my Aunt Chris' bon bons.  I mentioned this on Facebook and BAM!  Less than a week later, a giant box of them showed up at my house compliments of my cousin, Emily:

And then there was this, the only thing that made my throat feel better:

And the wearing of these sweet pajamas The Judy gave me last year:

And because Carolyn's socks kept falling off her feet, I bought her these sweet Wilt Chamberlain socks:

Oh, and did I mention that I got the very best present ever??  This:

You should see Husband and me take on the track and field challenge.  It might be the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.  I literally peed my pants a little upon seeing the replay (yes, it actually takes live video of you playing the game and then plays it back in fast motion.  HI-LAR-IOUS).

One thing that didn't make my Christmas the best ever?

This:

Mostly because it's pretty much the worst movie ever made.
