One More Question:

How wrong is it to buy your 6 week old an iPod?  I mean, I'm just asking because I downloaded a white noise CD (which is thirty minutes of a vacuum cleaner running and thirty minutes of radio static) that seems to help with her crying, but good grief, who can really stand to listen to that for longer than three minutes?  If only I could pop some ear buds in her ears and call it good...

Why on earth can't babies like good noise?  I mean, like maybe they could quiet down when listening to Ricky Martin or The Judy's favorite, Daughtry.

Of course, I guess anything is better than her crying...

Wait.  I've just had a flashback.  In the operating room - The Doctor belting out Whataya Want From Me by Adam Lambert while sewing up my uterus.  I believe I've made my feelings about Adam Lambert abundantly clear.

Oh, and I guess I'm going to have to start putting those giant flower headbands on Carolyn when I go out.  Because despite the fact that she's dressed in her cutest pink outfits, everyone still thinks she's a boy. I haven't had the heart to use the headbands before now because I certainly wouldn't want to wear a flower that's bigger than my head.  Maybe I'll put some makeup on her! My own little drag queen baby!  Genius!

We went tru SO many bad music cycles when our son was a baby - whatever it took. He was fuss-y, but now he's a really awesome cool kid. We alsohad the gender problem - I think everyone does. We kept hs hair a little long (it took so long to get it, we didn't want to chop it off) and dressed him in bib overalls and blue shirts, but people still called him a girl. I think it's because they're all so cute!

Try some soft pop music or a lullaby cd for babies. my youngest loved to Listen to Jewel and now she has a lullaby cd...it is awesome!

i prefer a little fan for white noise. it doesn't annoy me, but it still covers up a lot of ian's noise. do you really care if strangers know the gender of your baby or not? i don't think i could stomach one of those stupid headbands.
