1. Friday evening, Husband took me to Barnes and Noble to pick up a book that was recommended by my friend, Heather, Poison Study. I browsed and browsed but was unable to find it until I asked an extremely unwilling Barnes and Noble employee to help me out. She looked it up on the computer and just told me that it was in the romance section. Um. Romance? Really, Heather? I slunk over in that direction, trying as hard as I could to be inconspicuous. So there I was, on a Friday night, obviously pregnant and alone, hanging out in the romance section with two old, smoking ladies, pouring over books covered with scenes of erotica. I was embarrassed. When I finally found the book, I grabbed it and practically ran out of there. This book had better be worth it.
2. We're about T-minus 6 weeks until this baby comes. We're still in the process of gathering as many free, second-hand items as we can - a crib, a pack 'n play, a stroller, a baby bouncer, a swing...oh, and a wet nurse. Because with all the reading I've done, I figure I'm not really going to be able to breastfeed. Because I don't really do pain. And, since I am a modern day queen and olden day queens used them, a wet nurse is the obvious answer. Can you find one on Craig's List? What should I look under? I mean, I know you can get a call girl, but I don't really need one of those. Maybe it's under "people who are willing to endure pain for money"?
3. Husband had to work both Saturday and yesterday. I went to the grocery store and marinated in my own bile while jealously watching all the ladies who were shopping with their husbands. I can't wait until Husband's done with school and might have the opportunity to get a job not in retail so he can have a real weekend and normal working hours.
4. I got an $1800 pay raise last week in the form of free summer term tuition for Husband. I'm not going to lie, I'm more than proud of myself.
5. I finally got my massage license in the mail this weekend. I'm going to take a picture of it for proof. I'm now a "working" therapist...I mean, I don't really give massages yet, but that's not the point.
6. I made these for a BBQ with some friends last night. Of course, I made some alterations of my own and made a few with a Nutella center. I don't know if anyone else liked them, but all I could think was NUM NUM NUM. Be careful, though, they're super rich...and they really are better when they're warm.

for the big baby items, check on South East Texas classifieds website. We got Landon's excersaucer and jumper on there. I wish we would have gotten the other big stuff on there as well, instead of buying it brand new.
Nursing didnt bother me at all. Some people say it hurts, but I didnt have any trouble with it.
Trust me - everyone liked them. Once Todd & Michelle came by, they each had one and then Todd went back for doubles and triples. :) Kyle, pretending like he hadn't had any yet, also went for more! Lol. The final straw was when we went to bed and Kyle covered and hid them so Ellie wouldn't have a midnight snack.
PS - We're so glad you guys came! So much fun!
I will fly you out here to give me a massage.
Seriously, the romance section??? Fabio isn't even on the cover of the book!!! You'll like it, trust me...
