Entertainment Report

1.  Husband and I watched Valentine's Day the other night.  It's a love love movie with like every single currently famous person in it.  It also tries to appeal to every demographic under the sun, and therefore, includes a gay couple.  Now, you know how much I love my gays, but I couldn't help but be a little upset with the whole thing.  Mostly because the gay couple was Bradley Cooper and McSteamy.  All I could think was, "WOAH!  HOLD THE PHONE!  I mean, really, the gays get all of the beautiful men.  I don't think they should get to have Bradley Cooper and McSteamy, too!  It's just not fair!"

2.  Husband and I used to be watchers of The Biggest Loser.  But we had to stop.  Becuase now instead of two hours of exercising and losing weight, it's 30 mintues of exercising and 1.5 hours of Jillian Michaels pulling each contestant aside and telling them that they're not happy.  And then they have to talk about their feelings.  And then they cry.  And cry.  And cry.  What's with all the crying, people?!  I know there are emotional issues attached to being fat and yes, they should be resolved, but do I have to watch it??  Can't that take place behind the scenes?  All of that being said, we did tune in to watch some of the finale last night (thank goodness for DVR so we could get past all of the comentary by Allison Sweeny...and more crying), and it's good thing we did.  Because if we hadn't, we would have missed the eventual winner, Michael Ventrella, wearing a diamond, skull belt buckle at least the size of my head

SEE!

And a close up:

All I have to say is, COME ON, MICHAEL!  I know you've lost more than half of your body weight, but this diamond, skull belt buckle is not the best way to show it off.  Mostly it just made you look ridiculous.

Uh, yeah, that whole outfit was ridiculous.

Those jeans made him have camel toe. It was unfortunate.

I thought it made everyone not really notice that he still has a good 60-ish pounds to go. I mean, not to take away from what he's done, you just can't start out that huge and be at your goal weight by the finale. Just not possible. Is it bad that I laughed when he came out? How many people do you think are going to sport the buckle now that he's popularized it?

Bless Mike's heart. He is still a few pounds away from Italian stallion. Still, he has come a LONG way. I knew no one could beat him if he really just put the hammer down, which he did. I guess Koli would have given him a run for his money, if he hadn't been such a jerk and got voted off. What did you think of his pink pants, BTW??

Karl & I also discussed the camel toe factor, especially noticable when he was sitting & the buckle only caused us to look there more often. Not good....

Did you think back to your He-Man days and think all about Skeletor when you saw the close-up of the buckle? Ah, Memories...

Here are my other thoughts on the finale:

1. Koli's pants...ok, Koli...umm...you know, I'm not like a fashionista or anything, but the pink pants with the red tie and the blue jacket? Totally didn't go together.

2. Sam's mock military outfit that showed off his biceps reminded me of the German military outfit Buster wears on Arrested Development.

3. I'm sorry, Michael, but I don't think the skull belt buckle is going to help you catch the man of your dreams.

I literally LOL AND rolled my eyes when he walked out!! SOOOooo.... ridiculous!! Now LOOK at the close up of the skull... It TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE HIM!!! BWAHAHAHA....! ;p I REALLY don't see a new trend coming... GAG!!! I don't watch religiously... and this season wasn't too impressive. I felt like seeing the posted updates on fb usually covered the important parts. LOL! From what I DID see, I was hoping either of the other 2 would win over Michael... He just kind of BUGGED... Oh well... *sigh* (((HUGS)))
