1. I know that most of you have been overly concerned about my giant uterus. No? None of you? Anyway, I'm here to tell you that the crisis has been averted - as of yesterday's doctor's appointment, I am now the possessor of a perfectly normal size uterus that is right on schedule for a July 15th delivery. That's right - at 32 weeks pregnant, I am now measuring just 33 cm - right on target with how big The Lentil measured at the last ultra sound.
2. It's funny that my uterus is now the right size because I've just now started to pork it up. Over the last two weeks, I've gained four whole pounds. FOUR. That couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the only thing that sounds good to me is ice cream, could it?
3. I told The Doctor I was shocked at my weight gain. He told me it was completely normal and that he thought I was doing "better than good" with this pregnancy, meaning that I am a world class incubator. He then pointed out that much of the four pounds could be fluid retention as my ankles were swollen. I looked at my ankles and thought, "Ass-cuse me? That's how my ankles always look."
4. Then I woke up this morning and looked at my somewhat skinnier feet and ankles and thought, "Well, damn, he's right.

Yay for a normal uterus!
I've been reading your blog religiously--anxiously awaiting for the news that your uterus was normal sized. It's been keeping me up at night. Erin, I must say, your blog is the best thing I read on the internet.
