1. I had my 30-week check-up today. My uterus is still measuring four weeks too big.
2. The Lentil is taking full advantage of all of the extra uterine room by striking her favorite pose - the inverted Vitruvian Man. That's right, The Lentil was spread eagle (and flapping her arms) for the ultrasound. The Doctor said it's little wonder I'm getting kicks and hits in all four quadrants. Why doesn't my baby curl up like a normal kid?
3. The ultrasound tech labeled The Lentil "sassy". Mostly because every time she went to measure The Lentil's femur, The Lentil either pulled away or kicked as hard as she could. The tech said, "There's nothing like a baby with an attitude."
4. The Lentil is weighing in at 3 1/4 pounds. I still haven't gained any weight, which apparently delights The Doctor.
5. The Doctor has given me the go-ahead to start consuming large quantities of "bloody red meat" to up my iron count. I never thought I'd see the day where someone actually wanted me to eat more meat.
6. My sebaceous glands are in overdrive. Husband touched my face the other day and said, "Ewww! Why is your face so greasy?" I'm breaking out like a 14-year-old. That pregnant glow I have? It's grease.
7. My stretch marks are attempting to break a world record by becoming the fastest forming stretch marks on the face of the planet. Husband says it looks like someone's taken a red magic marker to my tummy.
8. I spend approximately 4.3 hours in the bathroom on any given day. As soon as I'm done going to the bathroom, I feel like it's time to go again. This may have something to do with the fact that I'm also drinking a gallon of water a day.
9. I pretty much feel like someone's kicked me in the crotch with a pointy toed shoe. Is that my hips spreading or what? Sore, sore, sore.
10. I guess I can share this - my sister Nancy, just told me she's three months pregnant with her third baby. Well, Nancy didn't tell me, The Judy did. I talked to her yesterday and was delighted to find out she's sick and having headaches. Not delighted because she's in pain, but delighted because I thought, "HEY! I had headaches, too!" And then I started to feel better about my entire pregnancy, because I'm not the only one in my family that's felt this way. I guess misery loves company.

I saw a recipe online today, for Lentil Soup, and I thought of you. And it creeped me out.
